PLANET GARA, in the jerama system
The three suns of the Jerama System had always powered the life, love and wisdom of planet Gara until the coming of the Great Protector, a dense shield that wrapped the planet. Nobody knew where it came from, but everyone felt its presence, as it revolved indistinctly above the ground. Some said they heard its faint hum, but most heard nothing. Like a shadow in the corner of your eye, you couldn’t quite focus on it.

Although they were forbidden by Abek Law, dazzling flashes of the Ashar could be seen across Gara. Never lasting long, any trace of the light risked a visit from the authorities.
THE ASHARA
The tiny crystals of the Ashara were generally colourless. A powerful natural transmitter of emotion in the left palm, it allows the Garan people to communicate over vast distances using a powerful burst of energy called the Ashar. Generating or participating in any Ashar event is now forbidden on Gara by the Abek regime.
